How To Make Free Scrapbook Kits

How To Make Free Scrapbook Kits

Commercial use kits/items are a resource that may be used to make any type of creation which you may claim as your own and sell or give away. Some commerical use items require that you give credit to the designer and some do not.

Before you use any type of scrapbooking download it is important to view the designer's TOU (terms of use) to make sure you do not violate any terms when you create your project. If you have any questions about what you are allowed to create there are usually links or an email address in this file so you can contact the designer and ask about their policies.

Most shops sell CU items and there are even CU freebies available. For free items I recommend using CU Freebies Only which has a large collection of CU links from many designers that are updated daily. Another popular place is Gunhild Storiede's blog. She makes fabulous CU/PU items and often includes tips on how to use them too.

Scrapbooking Celebrity Favorites And Memorabilia

Scrapbooking Celebrity Favorites And Memorabilia

Are you one of those people who collects clippings or memorabilia of your favorite celebrities? Whether it be President Obama, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, KISS, Motley Crue, Kings of Leon, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Usher or someone else;

if you collect press clippings, publicity photos, autographs, or have saved that headline from the newspaper, why not create a scrapbook of the information and preserve that piece of history in a book along with your other items.

First of all, make sure that you preserve the items in such a way that you can enjoy it, but also in a way that won't damage it's value. Specifically autographs, autographed pictures, magazine covers and certain newspaper headlines could actually be worth something if they are preserved correctly.

Especially if you can include a picture of you receiving the autograph with the actual autograph. That will help authenticate the item, if later you decide to sell it.

You can include picture or campaign buttons, bumper stickers, concert programs, concert/show tickets, pictures of you in your concert t-shirt, pictures of you with your favorite celebrity can all make for a fun scrapbook album.

Don't forget to include your own thoughts on the page though. How did you feel about what happened? Did it shock you? What do you remember about that person? Why do you collect the memorabilia? Were they your favorite growing up? What do you have in common with this person or group?

Where can you find the information about your celebrities? Just look around you at the grocery store on the magazine racks, newspapers and look online. You can find all types of information about celebrities and create your own keepsake album.

Do you have a favorite movie or television show? Check out ebay and see if you can get a copy of the press kit that was given out when it was released. Maybe you have a favorite author or celebrity, if you do check out their facebook or myspace page.

They might even have their own official web page and fan club. Some authors will even send you free promotion items for their books if you send them a self addressed stamped envelope.

Scrapbooking For Less

Scrapbooking For Less

With all the bells and whistles now available for scrapbooking, it is easy to overlook what you may already have on hand to use for scrapbooking. Rather than spending loads of money on stickers, stamps and or die-cuts, start looking at what you have left over from the experience you want to preserve.

  • Use your children’s artwork or schoolwork to frame your child’s pictures. Every week while your child is in school they generate loads of paperwork that can include one of a kind pictures/artwork, unique stories, and examples of their work that you can use to show how wonderful your child was at their age.
  • Using your ticket stubs can allow you to show what venue you visited, the date and time of the event and can even make note of who all went if you use all the tickets.
  • Keep brochures and flyers from the event or location visited. Many brochures are done with full color pictures that save you having to take pictures of monuments and let you focus on showing the interaction of you, your family or friends interacting while having your experience.
